About Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a passive style of yoga that involves holding poses passively for long periods of time (from 1 to 5 minutes or more). This style of yoga aims to access the joints and connective tissues of the body. Students can expect to explore prompts for personal reflection, release tension, and cultivate a feeling of wellbeing. An excellent compliment to any active lifestyle, Yin yoga classes reduce stress and tension in your body and mind by taking some time to slow down, relax and reflect.

“What differentiates Lara from many other yoga teachers is two things. Firstly, her foundation of theory — she's put in the work to study not just the history of yoga, but a wide range of spiritual practices. Secondly, she doesn't fall into the trap of traditional woo-woo yoga speak. She offers up the lessons in a relatable, accessible way, and even injects a bit of humour/levity when appropriate. When I'm in a Lara Farcasan class, I feel like I'm in good hands.”
“Lara is an incredibly thoughtful, mindful, and authentic teacher. Her cueing is effective and well thought out, her teaching style is accessible and does well to honour yoga's roots, and her knowledge of yoga (especially beyond asana) is vast and is presented in a way from which anyone could benefit. If you're looking for a more meaningful practice, I couldn't recommend Lara enough!”
