Try Yoga Nidra for Sleep

by Lara Farks Yoga

A guided relaxation that promotes internal awareness, deep relaxation and preparation for rest. (approx 40 mins)

A Brief Context to Yoga Nidra:

Yoga Nidra is a state of complete relaxation where inner awareness is progressively induced by following a set of verbal instructions.

Instructions prompt practitioners through the 5 koshas or sheaths by drawing all 5 senses inwards, except for their hearing, to help participants into a state called prajna (know as the deep sleep state), while staying conscious.

Although the aim of Yoga Nidra, like meditation, is samadhi or meditative absorption, practitioners find the aftereffects of Nidra sessions are relaxation, a feeling of being well rested, and an ability to better manage stress and anxiety.
